In 2012, as mobile browsing began to dominate the market, Bupa required a significant leap in its digital infrastructure. The challenge was to take high-fidelity, complex enterprise designs (provided in PSD) and translate them into a functional web environment that met the rigorous accessibility and brand standards of a global health leader.
The strategic hurdle was "Technical Future-Proofing." At a time when many corporate sites still relied on rigid, table-based layouts, Bupa needed a flexible architecture. We had to move away from legacy methods toward a fluid, div-based responsive system that could adapt to the emerging variety of screen resolutions and orientations—all while maintaining the absolute precision and trust inherent in the Bupa brand.
